Armand Van Helden
American DJ, record producer, remixer and songwriter, born February 16, 1970, Boston, Massachusetts.
In 1988, he started as a DJ in Boston's club "Loft". His first release followed in 1992. In 1994, he reached the Dance charts for the first time with his single "[url=https://www.discogs.com/master/76578-Armand-Van-Helden-Witch-DoktorWitch Doktor[/url".
His commercial breakthrough followed in 1996 with a remix of [a9902' song "[url=https://www.discogs.com/master/65109-Tori-Amos-Professional-WidowProfessional Widow[/url", which reached number one in UK.
In the following years, Van Helden had success in both, remixing other artists and as releasing artist. He remixed songs for e.g. [a20991 and [a8024.
With his own work, he reached the top of the UK charts for the first time in 1999, when his single "[url=https://www.discogs.com/master/76593-Armand-Van-Helden-Feat-Duane-Harden-You-Dont-Know-MeYou Don't Know Me[/url" reached the peak position. His success continued in the 2000's and in 2010, when he had worldwide success with his project [a224797, he reached multiple peak positions in Europe with the single "[url=https://www.discogs.com/master/284057-Duck-Sauce-Barbra-StreisandBarbara Streisand[/url".
He founded his own label Armed Records in 1998, and Stupid Fresh in 2002.
